A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in libtar (version now known). Affected by this vulnerability is the function th_read. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-401. The th_read() function doesn’t free a variable t->th_buf.gnu_longname after allocating memory, which may cause a memory leak.
