Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Ashley Brown iWeb Server (Web Server) (affected version unknown). This affects an unknown functionality of the component Encoded URL Handler. The manipulation with the input value %5c%2e%2e leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:
