VisNetic WebSite 3.5 allows remote attackers to obtain the full pathname of the server via a request containing a folder that does not exist, which leaks the pathname in an error message, as demonstrated using _vti_bin/fpcount.exe.
The bug was discovered 07/01/2003. The weakness was released 08/18/2003 by Peter Kruse as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2003-0456 since 06/23/2003. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
