A vulnerability was found in Omail Webmail 0.97.3/0.98.4. It has been rated as very critical. Affected by this issue is the function checklogin of the file omail.pl. The manipulation of the argument username/password/domainname with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The checklogin function in omail.pl for omail webmail 0.98.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a (1) password, (2) domainname, or (3) username.
