A vulnerability has been found in Dell Command Integration Suite up to 6.1.x and classified as critical. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Dell Command Integration Suite for System Center, versions prior to 6.2.0, contains arbitrary file write vulnerability. A locally authenticated malicious user could potentially exploit this vulnerability in order to perform an arbitrary write as system.
