Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Escapade Scripting Engine (ESP) allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary script via the method parameter, as demonstrated using the PAGE parameter.
The bug was discovered 09/09/2003. The weakness was disclosed 09/17/2003 by Bahaa Naamneh as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2003-0763 since 09/09/2003. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 8 days.
