A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Mozilla Firefox up to 95 on Windows (Web Browser). This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component Fullscreen Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. A race condition could have allowed bypassing the fullscreen notification which could have lead to a fullscreen window spoof being unnoticed.This bug only affects Firefox for Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected.This vulnerability was named CVE-2022-22746. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
Upgrading to version 96 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
