While the text displayed in Autofill tooltips cannot be directly read by JavaScript, the text was rendered using page fonts. Side-channel attacks on the text by using specially crafted fonts could have lead to this text being inferred by the webpage.This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2022-26382. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1592 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
Upgrading to version 98 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
