The manipulation of the argument HOME as part of a Environment Variable leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Buffer overflow in iwconfig allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a long HOME environment variable.
