BEA WebLogic Server 6.1, 7.0 and 7.0.0.1, when routing messages to a JMS target domain that is inaccessible, may leak the user s password when it throws a ResourceAllocationException.

The bug was discovered 01/10/2003. The weakness was presented 12/31/2003 by BEA Systems with BEA Systems as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). It is possible to read the advisory at kb.cert.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2003-1093 since 03/10/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
