A vulnerability was found in Sun Java 1.3.1/1.4.1/1.4.2 (Programming Language Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function ClassDepth. The manipulation of the argument null with an unknown input leads to a denial of service vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-404. Sun Java 1.3.1, 1.4.1, and 1.4.2 allows local users to cause a denial of service (JVM crash), possibly by calling the ClassDepth function with a null parameter, which causes a crash instead of generating a null pointer exception.
