A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Longshine Wireless Ethernet Access Point 2.0. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file config.img of the component TFTP Server. TFTP server in Longshine Wireless Access Point (WAP) LCS-883R-AC-B, and in D-Link DI-614+ 2.0 which is based on it, allows remote attackers to obtain the WEP secret and gain administrator privileges by downloading the configuration file (config.img) and other files without authentication.
The weakness was released 12/31/2003 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2003-1264 since 11/16/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
