A vulnerability was found in AN-HTTPd 1.41e (Web Server). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file aux.cgi of the component MS DOS Device Name. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. AN HTTP 1.41e allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (borken pipe) via an HTTP request to aux.cgi with a long argument, possibly triggering a buffer overflow or MS-DOS device vulnerability.
