A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Neutrinolabs xrdp up to 0.9.20. This issue affects the function devredir_proc_client_devlist_announce_req. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-120. The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow. xrdp is an open source project which provides a graphical login to remote machines using Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). xrdp < v0.9.21 contain a buffer over flow in devredir_proc_client_devlist_announce_req() function. There are no known workarounds for this issue. Users are advised to upgrade.
