Details
A vulnerability was found in GitHub Enterprise Server up to 3.3.16/3.4.11/3.5.8/3.6.4/3.7.1 (Bug Tracking Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
