A vulnerability was found in PHP Man Page Lookup 1.2.0 (Programming Language Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is the function buildManPage of the file class.manpagelookup.php. The manipulation of the argument $cmd with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in buildManPage in class.manpagelookup.php for PHP Man Page Lookup 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via the command parameter ($cmd variable) to index.php.
