Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Management Service for Symantec Gateway Security 2.0 allows remote attackers to steal cookies and hijack a management session via a /sgmi URL that contains malicious script, which is not quoted in the resulting error page.
The bug was discovered 02/26/2004. The weakness was published 03/15/2004 by Brian Soby with Raytheon (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.info. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2004-0192. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
