A vulnerability was found in Apache Kylin. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Configuration Handler. In the fix for CVE-2022-24697, a blacklist is used to filter user input commands. But there is a risk of being bypassed. The user can control the command by controlling the kylin.engine.spark-cmd parameter of conf.
The weakness was published 12/30/2022. The advisory is shared for download at lists.apache.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2022-43396 since 10/18/2022. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
