A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Simple Machines SMF 1.0 Beta4.1/1.0 Beta4p/1.0 Beta5p. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Tag Handler. The manipulation of the argument size with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Simple Machines Forum (SMF) 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script via the size tag.
