A vulnerability was found in Cisco Collaboration Server up to 3.0 (Groupware Software). It has been rated as very critical. UploadServlet in Cisco Collaboration Server (CCS) running ServletExec before 3.0E allows remote attackers to upload and execute arbitrary files via a direct call to the UploadServlet URL.
The bug was discovered 06/30/2004. The weakness was presented 08/06/2004 with Cisco as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-0650 since 07/09/2004. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
