A vulnerability was found in SquirrelMail (Mail Client Software). It has been classified as problematic. This affects an unknown part of the file mime.php. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in mime.php for SquirrelMail before 1.4.3 allows remote attackers to insert arbitrary HTML and script via the content-type mail header, as demonstrated using read_body.php.
The weakness was disclosed 08/18/2004 as Bug 1733 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.fedora.us. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2004-0520 since 06/02/2004. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
