CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Hap-WI Roxy-WI. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the component Web Interface Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-27. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize multiple internal "../" sequences that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

Roxy-WI is a Web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache, and Keepalived servers. Versions prior to 6.3.6.0 don't correctly neutralize `dir/../filename` sequences, such as `/etc/nginx/../passwd`, allowing an actor to gain information about a server. Version 6.3.6.0 has a patch for this issue.

The weakness was shared 03/14/2023 as GHSA-qcmp-q5h3-784m. The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-25802 since 02/15/2023. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 6.3.6.0 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch 0054f25da7cf8c7480452f48e39308b5e392dc67 is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
