A vulnerability was found in Bugzilla and CVS (Bug Tracking Software) (affected version not known). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file process_bug.cgi. The manipulation of the argument keywordaction with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. process_bug.cgi in Bugzilla 2.9 through 2.18rc2 and 2.19 from CVS does not check edit permissions on the keywords field, which allows remote authenticated users to modify the keywords in a bug via the keywordaction parameter.
The weakness was released 10/25/2004 by Joel Peshkin (Website). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-1633 since 02/20/2005.
