A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Cisco Secure Access Control Server up to 3.2(3) (Network Management Software). Affected is some unknown functionality. Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) 3.2(3) and earlier spawns a separate unauthenticated TCP connection on a random port when a user authenticates to the ACS GUI, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by connecting to that port from the same IP address.
The bug was discovered 08/25/2004. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cisco.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2004-1461 since 02/13/2005.
