Details
A vulnerability was found in Cauldron cbang up to 8.1.16. It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code of the file tar/TarFileReader.cpp of the component TAR Archive Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
