A vulnerability was found in Amazon Fire TV Stick 3rd Gen and Insignia TV (affected version not known). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is the function setMediaSource of the file amzn.thin.pl. The manipulation of the argument source with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages.
