AJ-Fork 167 does not restrict access to directories such as (1) data, (2) inc, (3) plugins, (4) skins, or (5) tools, which allows remote attackers to list files in those directories via a direct HTTP request.

The bug was discovered 09/30/2004. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2004 by Ahmad Muammar (y3dips) (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-1572 since 02/20/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 92 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 12130 (AJ-Fork Insecure Default Permissions Vulnerability).
