Unknown vulnerability in ftpd in SGI IRIX 6.5.20 through 6.5.23 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (hang) via a link failure with Microsoft Windows.
The issue has been introduced in 05/01/2003. The weakness was presented 12/31/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-1889 since 05/04/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
