The administration interface in Monit 1.4 through 4.2 allows remote attackers to cause an off-by-one overflow via a POST that contains 1024 bytes.

The bug was discovered 04/04/2004. The weakness was released 04/05/2004 by Matt Murphy (Website). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com.
