A vulnerability classified as critical was found in mback2k mh_httpbl Extension up to 1.1.7 on TYPO3. This vulnerability affects the function moduleContent of the file mod1/index.php. The weakness was released 09/30/2015 as TYPO3-EXT-SA-2015-021. The advisory is available at typo3.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-10106. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Upgrading to version 1.1.8 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at github.com. Applying the patch 429f50f4e4795b20dae06735b41fb94f010722bf is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version. A possible mitigation has been published 3 months after the disclosure of the vulnerability. The advisory contains the following remark:
Handle all user-input which is passed as WHERE or ORDER statement to exec_SELECTquery using fullQuoteStr or explicit value checks.
