A vulnerability has been found in 10Web Image Optimizer Plugin up to 1.0.26 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function get_subdirs of the component AJAX Action Handler. The manipulation of the argument dir with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. The Image Optimizer by 10web WordPress plugin before 1.0.27 does not sanitize the dir parameter when handling the get_subdirs ajax action, allowing a high privileged users such as admins to inspect names of files and directories outside of the sites root.
