A vulnerability was found in Watu Quiz Plugin up to 2.6.7 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function watu_exams of the file controllers/exam.php of the component Exam Handler. The manipulation of the argument quiz with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Upgrading to version 2.6.8 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch bf42e7cfd819a3e76cf3e1465697e89f4830590c is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
