A vulnerability was found in TUTOS 1.1 2004-04-14. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown part of the file app_new.php. The manipulation of the argument t with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in TUTOS 1.1 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) the search field of the Address Module or (2) the t parameter to app_new.php.
The bug was discovered 09/21/2004. The weakness was published 12/31/2004 by Joxean Koret (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com.
