Directory traversal vulnerability in Digicraft Yak! server 2.0 through 2.1.2 allows remote attackers to read or write arbitrary files via "../" or "..\" sequences in commands such as (1) dir or (2) put.
The bug was discovered 09/15/2004. The weakness was released 10/15/2004 by Luigi Auriemma (Website). The advisory is shared for download at aluigi.altervista.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2184 since 07/11/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
