A vulnerability was found in Kratos SpectralNet Device with SpectralNet Narrowband up to 1.7.4. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the component Password Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. A remote command injection issues exists in the web server of the Kratos SpectralNet device with SpectralNet Narrowband (NB) before 1.7.5. As an admin user, an attacker can send a crafted password in order to execute Linux commands as the root user.
The weakness was released 06/12/2023. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2022-38156 since 08/11/2022. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
Upgrading to version 1.7.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
