Details
A vulnerability was found in Nokia Airscale ASIKA Single RAN. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component CSP. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
An issue was discovered on NOKIA Airscale ASIKA Single RAN devices before 21B. If/when CSP (as a BTS administrator) removes security hardenings from a Nokia Single RAN BTS baseband unit, a directory path traversal in the Nokia BTS baseband unit diagnostic tool AaShell (which is by default disabled) provides access to the BTS baseband unit internal filesystem from the mobile network solution internal BTS management network.
