Details
A vulnerability was found in Even Balance Punkbuster Database 6. It has been classified as critical. This affects some unknown functionality of the component Login Form. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
** UNVERIFIABLE ** SQL injection vulnerability in PunkBuster Screenshot Database (PB-DB) Alpha 6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the username and password fields of the login form. NOTE: the original vulnerability report contains several significant inconsistencies that make it unclear whether the report is accurate, including (1) PB-DB is really the "PunkBuster Screenshot Database" and not "PunkBuster" itself; (2) there is no apparent association between PunkBuster and "Punky Brewster"; (3) the claimed source code is not anywhere in Alpha 6.
