A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Armeria up to 1.24.2. This affects an unknown code block of the component Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authorization vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-863. The product performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:
Armeria is a microservice framework Spring supports Matrix variables. When Spring integration is used, Armeria calls Spring controllers via `TomcatService` or `JettyService` with the path that may contain matrix variables. Prior to version 1.24.3, the Armeria decorators might not invoked because of the matrix variables. If an attacker sends a specially crafted request, the request may bypass the authorizer. Version 1.24.3 contains a patch for this issue.
