A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator up to 5.10 SP1 (Endpoint Management Software). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Link Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in ePO prior to 5.10 SP1 Update 1allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to potentially obtain access to an ePO administrator's session by convincing the authenticated ePO administrator to click on a carefully crafted link. This would lead to limited access to sensitive information and limited ability to alter some information in ePO.
The weakness was released 07/26/2023. It is possible to read the advisory at kcm.trellix.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-3946 since 07/25/2023. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
