Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in HAProxy (Firewall Software) (affected version unknown). This affects an unknown functionality of the component Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument Content-Length with an unknown input leads to a request smuggling vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-444. The product acts as an intermediary HTTP agent
(such as a proxy or firewall) in the data flow between two
entities such as a client and server, but it does not
interpret malformed HTTP requests or responses in ways that
are consistent with how the messages will be processed by
those entities that are at the ultimate destination. This is going to have an impact on integrity. The summary by CVE is:
HAProxy through 2.0.32, 2.1.x and 2.2.x through 2.2.30, 2.3.x and 2.4.x through 2.4.23, 2.5.x and 2.6.x before 2.6.15, 2.7.x before 2.7.10, and 2.8.x before 2.8.2 forwards empty Content-Length headers, violating RFC 9110 section 8.6. In uncommon cases, an HTTP/1 server behind HAProxy may interpret the payload as an extra request.
