A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in PHP Arena paFileDB 3.1 (Programming Language Software). This affects an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. paFileDB 3.1, when using sessions authentication and while the administrator logs on, allows remote attackers to read the administrator s password hash and conduct brute force password guessing attacks by listing the contents of the sessions directory and reading the associated file for the administrator session.
