Integer overflow in camel-lock-helper in Evolution 2.0.2 and earlier allows local users or remote malicious POP3 servers to execute arbitrary code via a length value of -1, which leads to a zero byte memory allocation and a buffer overflow.
The bug was discovered 01/24/2005. The weakness was disclosed 01/24/2005 by Max Vozeler (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-0102 since 01/18/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
