A vulnerability was found in D-Link DAP-1325 (the affected version is unknown) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function SetAPLanSettings of the component HNAP. The manipulation of the argument SubnetMask with an unknown input leads to a command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-77. D-Link DAP-1325 HNAP SetAPLanSettings SubnetMask Command Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of D-Link DAP-1325 routers. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of a request parameter provided to the HNAP1 SOAP endpoint. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-18814.
