A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in CouchCMS 2.3. This issue affects the function sanitize_url of the component URL Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Impacted is integrity. An open redirect vulnerability in the sanitize_url() parameter of CouchCMS v2.3 allows attackers to redirect a victim user to an arbitrary web site via a crafted URL.
