A vulnerability was found in M4 PDF Plugin up to 3.2.3 on PrestaShop (PrestaShop Module). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown processing of the file /m4pdf/pdf.php of the component HTML Document Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a html injection vulnerability. M4 PDF plugin for Prestashop sites, in its 3.2.3 version and before, is vulnerable to an arbitrary HTML Document crafting vulnerability. The resource /m4pdf/pdf.php uses templates to dynamically create documents. In the case that the template does not exist, the application will return a fixed document with a message in mpdf format. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by inputting a valid HTML/CSS document as the value of the parameter.
The weakness was released 09/20/2023. The advisory is shared for download at incibe.es. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2022-45448 since 11/16/2022. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
