A vulnerability was found in EFS Easy Chat Server up to 3.1 (Chat Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file /registresult.htm. Easy Chat Server, in its 3.1 version and before, does not sufficiently encrypt user-controlled inputs, resulting in a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability stored via /registresult.htm (POST method), in the Resume parameter. The XSS is loaded from /register.ghp.
The weakness was disclosed 10/04/2023. The advisory is shared at incibe.es. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-4495 since 08/23/2023.
