CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as very critical has been found in Siemens CP-8031 MASTER MODULE and CP-8050 MASTER MODULE. This affects some unknown functionality of the component SSH. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded credentials vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-798. The product contains hard-coded credentials, such as a password or cryptographic key, which it uses for its own inbound authentication, outbound communication to external components, or encryption of internal data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

A vulnerability has been identified in CP-8031 MASTER MODULE (All versions < CPCI85 V05.11 (only with activated debug support)), CP-8050 MASTER MODULE (All versions < CPCI85 V05.11 (only with activated debug support)). The affected devices contain a hard-coded ID in the SSH `authorized_keys` configuration file. An attacker with knowledge of the corresponding private key could login to the device via SSH. Only devices with activated debug support are affected.

The weakness was disclosed 10/10/2023 as ssa-134651. The advisory is shared at cert-portal.siemens.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2023-36380 since 06/21/2023.
