Ethereal 0.10.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted RSVP packet of length 4.
The weakness was presented 04/26/2005 by Vade 79 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-1281 since 04/26/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
