Details
A vulnerability was found in Arduino Create Agent up to 1.3.2 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-35. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize '.../...//' (doubled triple dot slash) sequences that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 10/18/2023. The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2023-43802 since 09/22/2023. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.
