The weakness was disclosed 08/10/2006 with IBM (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at www-1.ibm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-4136 since 08/14/2006. Attacking locally is a requirement. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 87070 (IBM WebSphere Application Server Multiple Unspecified Vulnerabilities (PK26498,PK24334,PK25199)).
Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at www-1.ibm.com.
